Leonid Tiokhin

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Eindhoven University of Technology

Leonid is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Eindhoven University of Technology, working with Daniel Lakens on a 4-year VIDI project to improve the efficiency and reliability of science. In his research, he studies the role of incentive structures to understand how different systems of recognition and reward affect how scientists conduct their research, and thereby influence the efficiency and reliability of science as a whole.

Leonid is particularly interested in strengthening the theoretical foundation for meta-research by learning from and building bridges between diverse disciplines. To this end, he pursues his research as an interdisciplinary social scientist, drawing on research from fields such as evolutionary biology, psychology, anthropology, and economics.

Leonid earned his PhD in Anthropology at the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University.
